Congratulations: St. Ursula School student Elise Ebelein was a finalist in the Champions of Courage Black History Month essay competition which received 5,000 entries from 87 schools…Mrs. Carol Curry was named Teacher of the Year at St. Ursula School…Science Fair winners at St. Ursula School were 5th grade: 1st place - Robby Whalen, 2nd - Zack Fischer, 3rd -Hannah Brill; Honorable Mention - Ally Comegys, Mia Mangione, Carlee Moshang, Carly Troiani. 7th grade: 1st place - Jacob Verger, 2nd - Eric Fick, 3rd - Grace Dinger; Honorable Mention - Sean Bieschke, Ryan Comegys, Zachary Cowger, Simona Parravono.
High School Athletes: Parkville High School Knights boys basketball team made it to the 4A
Semifinals where they rallied from 10 points down in the second half, eventually tying Charles County’s Thomas Stone but came up short, losing 73-64 at the final whistle.
Perfect Attendance: Joel Artes, Julie Cody and Kaitln Merrill achieved perfect attendance during 20 weeks of Sunday School at Hiss United Methodist Church.
New Eagle Scouts: Brandon Sellers and Matt Schley achieved Eagle rank in Boy Scout Troop 26.

Good Deed: Sunday School children at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Parkville collected many items to be sent to their “adopted” military platoon.

Anthony Catulo…Yabili weighed in at 7 lb. 8 oz. for Danny and Agnes Pembamoto…Ava McKenzie arrived at 7 lbs. 5 oz. to Alison and Larry Flagg.
Dean’s List: Local resident Jessica Haddaway was recently named to the Dean’s List at Douglass Residential College, the public women’s college at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Haddaway, a junior at Douglass is majoring in Communication.
