Tuesday, April 22, Stroke, 12:15 p.m. — Learn about the brain and carotid artery disease, the warning signs of stroke, certain risk factors and current testing/treatment options.
Wednesday, April 23, Wellness Wednesday, 10:45 a.m. — Each month Franklin Square Hospital presents an educational health awareness talk. This month’s health topic is Shingles. Everything you need to know in order to decide if a vaccine is right for you.
1 p.m., Five Wishes — What is Five Wishes? It is an easy to use legal document that lets you plan in advance for how you want to be cared for in case you become seriously ill. It is unique because it looks to all of a person’s needs: medical, personal, emotional and spiritual. Join us to hear more about this popular document that will be available to participants for free, a savings of $5. Tuesday, April 29, 1 p.m., New Member Orientation — All new members are invited to attend! During this orientation new members will receive information on what is offered at the center and through Baltimore County Department of Aging. New members will meet staff and be able to ask questions. Sign up at the front desk by April 28.
Wednesday, April 30, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., Hearing Screenings — Schedule your appointment with audiologist Richard Young, for a free hearing screening from Baltimore County Department of Health’s Bureau of Speech, Language and Hearing.
