Performance – Notre Dame Preparatory School presents The Pajama Game, the classic musical featuring the unforgettable song “Steam Heat,” on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 9-10, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. All performances take place in the school auditorium. NDP students performing in The Pajama Game include Kingsville residents Ariel Hanke (a junior) and Blake Alderman (a sophomore). Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Annual Christmas bazaar – Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Beautiful handmade crafts, delicious baked goods, gift items, a white elephant table, and refreshments will be available. Basket bingo – Friday, Nov.16. The Highlands School will hold its annual Basket Bingo, featuring Longaberger baskets at the school located at 2409 Creswell Rd. (Rt. 543) in Bel Air. Concert – The Mid Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Julien Benichou, will perform a concert of Christmas music ( including music from The Messiah and the Nutcracker Suite) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 8420 Belair Rd. in Perry Hall on Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Featured will be the St. Joseph’s choir and acclaimed soprano, Elizabeth Racheva. Children’s tickets for those under 12 are free; older student tickets are $10, and adult tickets are $25. Tickets for both the Christmas and Spring concerts are $20 each. Contemporary service – 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Peggy Johnson from Christ Church of the Deaf in Severna Park will bring their Deaf Choir to Hiss and she will deliver her special message. All in the community, hearing and deaf alike are invited to this special service. Hiss Church’s Contemporary Service is signed by ASL Interpreters every Sunday. There are special hearing devices for hard of hearing, and our Praise Team signs many of the Praise Songs. We offer classes in everyday sign language for all ages.
