Don Dohler Halloween Gore Fest – Friday, Oct 26, 7 p.m. A double-feature of documentary “Blood, Boobs, and Beast” and Dohler’s “Blood Massacre.” Enjoy Baltimore-made Grindhouse trailers and Blood Massacre drinking game. Rosie the Riveter Day – On Saturday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum is celebrating history as it presents Rosie the Riveter Day. Glenn Martin made history in 1941 when he hired women on his Middle River aircraft assembly line and this hiring started the Rosie the Riveter movement across the country. The Museum is observing this momentous occasion with an afternoon of events. From 1 to 3 p.m., Baltimore Rosies who worked at the Martin Company and other WWII industries will be sharing their stories with visitors. Jazaapella East will provide musical entertainment. Weather permitting, the Museum’s aircraft collection will be open for viewing 11a.m .to 2 p.m. There will be an activity for children. Admission is free. This event is made possible in part through sponsorship of the Baltimore County Executive, County Council, and the Commission on Arts and Sciences. Harvest fair – Saturday, Oct. 27 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Perry Hall United Methodist Church,9515 Belair Rd., will hold its first Community Harvest Fair, with pony rides, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, children’s games, Fall-themed bake table & food. Mall Walkers’ Program – Register at the White Marsh Mall Customer Service Center to become a part of our popular Mall Walkers’ Program. Members are invited to walk the mall beginning at 7 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Reunion – Perry Hall Sr. High School Class of ‘77 is holding its 30-year reunion weekend of Nov. 17 with a bull roast at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $55. Scrapbooking day – Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. A light breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with munchies throughout the day will be included in the registration fee of $30 as well as lots of cropping and projects. Coats for the Community – Franklin Square Nurses are caring for the community with a “Franklin Square Keeping You Warm” coat drive. They have collected new and gently used coats and winter weather gear, in all sizes (infant to adult) to distribute to members of the community. The public is invited to come to the hospital at 9000 Franklin Square Dr. on Nov. 3 from 8 to 10 a.m. where all items will be available on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last only. Fundraiser – Saturday, Nov.3 from 8 to 10 p.m. The evening chapter of Edith Rosen Strauss, cancer aid for children, will present a charity Rock ‘n Bowl & Buffet at the AMF Timonium Lanes, 2165 York Rd. Shelter A Pet – Want to pet-sit for a soldier who is about to be deployed? Two organizations make it possible for civilians to act as foster homes for cats, dogs, birds, fish and more. Trunk or treat – Oct. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. The theme title is “Trunk or Treat.” There will be games, costumes contests, food, crafts, and asking for treats from the trunks of pre-arranged members’ cars around the parking lot. Concert fundraiser – 4 p.m. The Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra will present a benefit concert at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8212 Philadelphia Rd. in Rosedale. The entire proceeds of this concert will go to help defray the cost of medical expenses of an individual who was struck by a car in November 2002 and suffered brain damage.
