Crime report: Copper wire a commodity at construction sites

Precinct 8, Parkville

Fourth degree burglary: July 10 at 3:25 a.m., 7700 block of Windy Ridge. An unknown suspect pried shed door. When door was opened, an alarm went off and no property was taken.

Attempted first degree burglary: July 10 at 12:15 p.m., 2900 block of Cub Hill Road. Victim witnessed unknown suspect lift the screen of a rear window and attempt to open window. When complainant approached suspect he stated he was checking to see if they needed new windows and then fled on foot toward Harford Road.

Grand theft/fourth degree burglary: July 11 between 3 and 5 a.m., 2100 block of Taylor Avenue. An unknown suspect entered the fenced rear yard and stole a 2004 Suzuki Ozark Quadrunner.

First degree burglary: Between July 11 at 5:30 p.m. and July 12 at 2 p.m., 12700 block of Manor Road. An unknown suspect broke the right front porch window of residence. Once inside, the suspect stole a portable Panasonic AM/FM/TV combo set valued at $110.

First degree burglary: July 12 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., 8300 block of Tapu Court. An unknown suspect entered the home possibly through unlocked rear door and stole a 40-inch Sony plasma TV.

Fourth degree burglary: July 16 at 2:41 a.m., 3400 block of Northwind Road. Three suspects removed a TV which was in the driveway of residence under a tarp. One suspect was arrested.

Precinct 9, White Marsh

First degree burglary: Between July 13 at 8:45 p.m. and July 15 at 1:30 p.m., 7500 block of Brightside Avenue. An unknown suspect entered residence through a panel in the basement door that had been kicked out. Nothing reported missing from the location.

Grand theft/fourth degree burglary: Between July 14 at 7 p.m. and July 16 at 7:30 a.m., 5600 block of New Forge Road. An unknown suspect entered a house under construction and stole $1,000 worth of copper wire.

Robbery-unarmed: July 15 at 10:58 p.m., 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue. A male suspect yelled through door to counter employee at Domino’s that they had an emergency. The employee let one suspect in who then demanded that she remove cash from the register. He told her to stay in the back and then rejoined another suspect outside. Both suspects fled on bicycles.

Fourth degree burglary: Between July 15 at 5 p.m. and July 16 at 6 a.m., 5100 block of Honeybrook Way. An unknown suspect entered a home under construction and stole $1,500 worth of copper wire.

Fourth degree burglary: July 16 at 7:30 a.m., 5000 block of Hazelwood Avenue. An unknown suspect gained entry to backyard and cut the pool liner.
